Today I posted on Facebook, bragging like a little child.
... Earlier I'd "liked" a friend's pics of a huge batch of homemade rolls.
So when my daughter texted me to tell me that her boyfriend (works in bakery) was just starting a batch of challah rolls for me - I posted about it - bragging that I was getting fresh rolls made just for me.
I'm sure no one was surprised... it's facebook after all.
Lots of people post things that just pop into their heads and don't really matter.
It isn't the rolls that matter.
It was the text from my daughter - the reminder that in a few hours they'd be here.
After half dozen Thanksgivings spent alone - that's the joy - that's my actual bragging.
I am not home alone on Thanksgiving!
